Chasing Planes

Listen to this post HERE

I want to start this off my saying that I know I am privileged to be able to travel. I am vaccinated, along with my immediate family members who I traveled with.

My family and I took a trip to a beach. On this trip I was brought home.

By home I mean to airports with airplanes and people going places.

Some people hate airports and traveling; for me it’s where I thrive.

I love the pace of an airport and observing the different types of travelers.

There are people who travel alone and people who travel in large groups, people who know exactly where they are going and those who are clearly lost, the fast paced movers and the more methodical thinkers.

Some people get stressed when traveling and reveal an unpleasant side to their character. Some people thrive and will help others in need.

I always like to watch to see how people will react if their connection is being cut short. Are you nice to the workers and express your gratitude for what they do or do you yell and tell them if you miss your flight it is their fault?

Character comes out at the airport.

If you are lucky enough to travel, make sure to take in your surroundings.

Observe how people act towards others and make sure you act with kindness to the people you come in contact with.

Leave a place cleaner than you found it and never never never take traveling for granted.

Being able to visit other areas of the world is a privilege, not a right.

I hope you can travel safely real soon.

Until next time,

-H

  1. Great insights to the different types of travelers. It reminds me of a quote… “Adversity does not build character, it reveals it.” — I thought it was from Teddy Roosevelt but google tells me it is James Lane Allen. Thanks for an interesting post.
