Hello, and welcome to or back to my blog! If you are new here my name is Hannah.
I hope wherever you are reading this you are reading it somewhere where you feel comfortable. Your clothes are comfortable, you maybe have a cup of tea or coffee, and you don’t have too much to do today.
2020 was a year of wow. At the end of 2019 I was headed into the year 2020 bright-eyed and bushy tailed. I was ready to see all the world had to offer and I was quite confident that 2020 was going to be the best year of my life thus far.
Was I right? Yes and no. No, because a giant thing came crashing down on lots and lots of plans and killed people and made other people sick and caused a whole lot of commotion. This was the not pretty side of 2020. Yes, because the year also brought me a new awareness of how special family is, how lucky every day above ground with health is, and how to slow down. The first part of 2020 brought me normal living and fun times and an amazing trip with high school kiddos I got to chaperone. The rest of the year challenged me to grow as a person.
I learned lessons I never would have learned if 2020 went the way I thought it would.
So here we are in 2021. A new year. It’s like a fresh page in a brand new journal; day one, well, really today is day three but you get the idea.
I am excited to see what this year has to offer but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have my guard up at all. I am a little nervous for what could happen this year, but I also have high hopes for it.
There are going to be some big changes this year and I believe the future is bright.
If we learned anything from the past year it is that we should not expect anything and appreciate what we have.
Life is just that much better when you look at all you have and are grateful for it. Also, if you can help someone out that is the best feeling ever.
Appreciate. Don’t anticipate. Give. Live gratefully.
Welcome to 2021; let’s have some fun (in a responsible and safe way of course!!!)!
Until next time,
