Today is Sunday. For some people it is a holiday and for others it is just a day. Regardless of what this day means to you, I think that a lot of people can agree that it’s a good day to practice gratitude.
I like to start my morning with gratitude because I believe that it really sets the mood for my day. By saying what I am grateful for in the morning, I am aware of all the beautiful blessings I have throughout the day.
I was thinking how weird this day is, and really everyday in quarantine. How strange is it that we are living through a time of history. This time will be told to grandkids in the future. We will tell the stories about the time no one would go to the grocery store without a mask and gloves. The time that people wiped down their groceries and left their mail out for a few days before bringing it into the house. The time where people were scared to touch and kept a distance of at least six feet from one another.
This time is weird, but it is also a time to be grateful for what we have. I have been going on lots of walks. It has been cold and windy for many of them but I am grateful to have a capable body and clothes to bundle up in.
If you want to see the bad in a situation you will definitely find it. On the flip, if you want to see the good in a situation you can! Look for the good in your life. State your gratitude for what you have.
I hope that wherever you are and whatever you are going through you know that you are not alone.
Stay strong during this weird time. Reach out to friends and family. Move your body in ways that feel good. Learn something new. Fuel your body with nutrient dense foods. Stay hydrated. Get good sleep. Practice an attitude for gratitude.
Until next time,
