This is my first blog post, so I guess I should start by introducing myself. This may be a bit long winded because I feel like there is so much to tell about me. I don’t think I can cover my whole life in one post, but this should at least give you an idea of who I am. My name is Hannah, I am twenty-three years old, and I live in the middle of nowhere (aka Grand Forks, North Dakota). I have a great family and amazing friends. I feel very lucky to live the life that I do.
I am super passionate about the health of people and the planet. I love being plant-based, and I think that everyone can benefit from adding more plants into their life. I like to learn about plants and the many benefits they can provide to our bodies. I also like to learn about the way plants help the planet and ways to help the planet. There is only one earth and we only get one life. I think it is important to always do my best to treat my body and the Earth the best that I can.
I like to stay active and be outside whenever I can. Living where I do, that means braving sub-zero temperatures for six months of the year. I really thrive when I can be out in nature and I am positive I will live on a beach in the future. I think exercise is a very important part of being healthy and that there are so many ways to keep the body moving. Moving the body every day in some way is great for mental health and for getting rid of waste in the body. My favorite ways to stay active are walking, running, hiking, biking, and incorporating banded and weighted exercises.
I like to read and learn new things from books. I find it so peaceful getting into bed at night with low lighting and reading a good book before going to sleep.
I love music. I have music playing almost constantly. My mom used to say that my life was a musical because I would always be singing. I used to do a lot of acting in plays and musicals, now I just have the joy of teaching kids about acting.
I teach preschoolers how to use their imagination to act things out and how fun it can be to sing and dance. I also teach elementary aged kids about acting techniques and how to make skits. I love kids so much and I love watching what their little minds can create.
I am a certified health coach and I am passionate about helping people better their lives. I help people reach their health and lifestyle goals and there is nothing that brings me greater joy than watching the excitement that exudes someone who has accomplished their goals.
I love to make food that tastes good and looks pretty, but let’s be real, sometimes food that tastes the best looks really awful. On the flip of that, I have definitely made things that look gorgeous and taste like swamp water. I think that is a good lesson to not judge things by the way they look. I like to get creative in the kitchen and see what flavor combinations work and which ones just do not work.
I love to travel and explore new places. I really think that there is so much to learn about yourself and the world when traveling. I love to see how different places have different things that are normal to them and how people act differently depending on where you are. I love to learn about the history of a new place. I love to see old buildings and learn the story of how they came to be and what they are used for now.
Basically, I am a person who likes a whole lot of things and has many interests. I am sure you can relate to liking something that I have an interest in, and if not that is great too!
